Haunted and mysterious places of India.

Most of us have a dream to visit at least one haunted place with our friends and scare each other. Guess what? We have found a few ‘real’ haunted places for you to go and make your dream come true. Let us have a look at them:

1. Dumas Beach, Gujarat

Though this place feels like a dream in the mornings, you don't want to step out after the sun sets down. It is heard that there are whispers and voices coming from no source at this place, and a few people have also disappeared during the nights. According to history, it was a home to a burial ground ages ago, and someone who is lion-hearted would want to stroll along the shore in the night.

2. Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad

One of the biggest studios in India, Ramoji Film City is a victim of paranormal sightings. With the spot boys being pushed from highest points to strange marks being left on mirrors, this place is not as pleasant as it seems to be on the outside.

3. The Savoy, Mussoorie

The spirit of a lady, Frances Garnett-Orme who was dead in one of the rooms of this hotel under mysterious circumstances is said to roam in the hallways during the night. This place has inspired one of the famous writings of Agatha Christie, The Mysterious Affair At Styles.

4. Shaniwar Vada, Pune

Though it is one of the most popular tourist sights, there are rumors that this place is haunted by the spirit of a Prince. The Prince was apparently murdered brutally by his family and his screams can be heard on a full moon night within the palace. 

5. Three Kings Church, Goa.

This beautiful church has been the home to many paranormal sightings in India. History has it that there were three Portuguese Kings who died in this church after failing to take control over the region. The locals here have spotted the ghosts of these kings and believe that they still reside there. 

6. Sanjay Van, New Delhi

This forest area is supposedly the most haunted place in Delhi. Though there are cliche rumours about sightings of a woman with white saree, there have been other incidents that took place here that depict how eerie this place.

7. Barog Tunnel, Shimla

Engineer, Captain Barog apparently went into depression and committed suicide in the tunnel after being unable to complete it's construction. Though the tunnel got completed eventually, it is known to be haunted by his spirit.

8. Bhangarh Fort, Rajashtan

Rated as the most haunted place in India, Bahngarh Fort is said to be haunted on a different level. It was cursed by an old Sadhu in the 17th century and the government has ordered that no one would enter the place after the sunset as there are many paranormal things that took place in this area. 

9. Writer's Building, Kolkata

Captain Simson of the East India Company is believed to be killed by Indian Revolutionaries in this building, and his spirit hasn't really left the place. Locals have reported sounds and voices in the dark from an unknown source during the nights. 

10. Kuldhara Village, Rajasthan

Long long ago, in the 1800s, the residents of this village have vacated it due to disputes with the Royal Minister. When they vacated, they didn't simply leave but cursed the ruins of this village with evil spirits and those spirits are believed to be still haunting the place. Kuldhara village in Jaisalmer is one of the mysterious places with ruins all over. 

11. Raj Kiran Hotel, Lonavala

A particular room in this hotel has been stirring several stories regarding this place. Many of the tourists have reported that their sheets are being pulled off by an unknown source and they could spot a blue light at the end of their bed during the night. Spooky, isn't it?

12. Kalpalli Cemetery, Bengaluru

The most obvious place of haunted sightings is a cemetery, right? However, people have seen many spirits wandering about this place in the night with the most famous one being a man lurking about at the entry of this place.

13. Vrindavan Society, Thane

Following the suicidal death of one of the residents of this society, it has become one of the haunted places of India. According to the residents, the spirit of this person makes them feel an uneasy presence in their house, and also one of the guards has complained being hit on the face by an invisible hand.

14. House Number W-3, New Delhi

From loud waves of laughter and creepy whispers to screechy shrills, this place has it all; and no one can even stay for a 15 minutes period in this house. An old-elderly couple was murdered in this place and their spirits are believed to be lurking around there. 

15. The Haunted House of GP Block, Meerut

This abandoned house has been the home for many paranormal sightings. Witnesses report sightings of a woman with red saree who disappears into thin air and a group of four men sitting around a table with one candle at the centre. Some of them have even reported seeing a woman on the roof. Goosebumps!
