The 2019 year is about to arrive!! And now its time for ‘cruise holidays’. With the fresh start of the new year, 2019, it brings plenty of new cruise ships which are set to take you to the seas.
So, here are the new modernized designed cruise ships which will redefine your travel experience.
MSC Bellissima is a sister ship to the 2017-launched MSC Meraviglia. This mega-ship will be the largest ever to be christened in the UK, with the ceremony due to take place on the 2nd March 2019.
It includes an indoor, Mediterranean-styled retail-and-dining promenade capped by a 262-foot-long LED ceiling; high-tech RFID-chipped guest wristbands (that will even let you geolocate your kids on board); and two new show concepts from Cirque du Soleil at Sea.
The new features also include a magic school for kids; a tapas restaurant from Michelin-starred chef Ramón Freixa and the absolute coup: an in-cabin digital personal assistant dubbed “Zoe.”
The voice-enabled AI device is on hand to answer all of the guests. Developed with HARMAN, the AI virtual can assist the guests in learning their needs and predict what they might need during their stay.
MSC Bellissima will gross tonnage of 167,600 and can host approximately 5,700 passengers.
The 100-passenger vessel — purpose-built for the destination and proposing all-inclusive pricing — will run 10- and 11-night Galapagos journeys year-round (including a two-night, pre-cruise hotel stay and air transfers from Quito) is launching in May 2019.
You can retreat on board to the plunge pool, private cabanas or telescope-equipped stargazing platform, or simply hunker down in the all-suite staterooms many of which come trimmed with touch-of-a-button “infinite verandas.”
The ship will have a gross tonnage of 129,500 and is expected to host up to 2,908 passengers and crew members.
Spectrum of the Seas
Royal Caribbean International’s first Quantum Ultra Class ship is sure to be a hit with families from its fun-filled Skypad to the skydiving simulator, rock climbing, swimming pool, kid-friendly restaurants, video arcade, West End-worthy theatre shows, bumper cars, roller discos, and even dedicated family suites.
Some of its first-for-the-line features include a karaoke venue and a tea parlor, as well as a new suite-only, ship-within-a-ship concept, set within a private four-deck enclave at the forward of the vessel. It is expected to host over 5,000 passengers.
Costa Cruises debuts its newest flagship and largest vessel to date — the 5,200-passenger Costa Smeralda — in October, for a series of 5- to 7-night Mediterranean sailings. This new ship promises to be “a tribute to Italian style and warmth”.
It stands as the first major cruise ship to be powered by clean-burning, eco-friendly liquified natural gas (LNG), affording a significant reduction in emissions. It is expected to host up to 6518 passengers including crew.
Sky Princess is the fourth in Princess’s Royal class of ships which is sure to offer you heaps of luxury, thanks to her pools, Las Vegas-style casino, themed bar and entertainment ranging from Movies under the Stars to auctions and West End theatre shows.
The ship also offers dedicated kid-friendly programmes and even onboard kids’ clubs for those days when parents want some quality time to themselves.
The ship boasts a gross tonnage of 139,000 with a capacity for approximately 3,600 passengers.
