With the help of makeup, characters are given such a look which suits to the role they are going to play on screen. This is all made possible by those artists who in spite of being off screen entertained us with their art and creativity onscreen. They not only gave a suited look to these characters but also sometimes created a character too. Their true art, creativity and passion for their work sometimes proved to be a magic in the world of character creation. 9. Kamal Haasan in Chachi 420


Kamal Haasan starer Chachi 420 is a perfect example of amazing art and character transformation. Kamal Haasan played the role of a Marathi lady 'Lakshmi Godbole' in the movie. Even though the task of transforming a middle-aged man to an old lady was challenging, American make up artist Michael Westmore nailed it perfectly. 

8. Amitabh Bachchan in Paa


The movie Paa was a beautiful treat for everyone's eyes. A rumour is associated to it that once while shooting for movie Paa in Malaysia, a man walked into the sets of the movie to meet Amitabh Bachchan. He searched for him here and there but at last failed to find him. This was all made possible by makeup artists Christien Tinsley and Domini Till, who turned Amit Ji into an Auro, a 12-year-old boy, suffering from a rare disorder known as progeria.

7. Rajkumar Rao in Raabta


It is said that Bollywood hunk, Rajkumar Rao almost took 16 look tests in order to confirm his make up for Raabta. In this movie, he was portraying a role of 324-year-old, bald, tattooed man. According to the reports, he underwent six hours of prosthetics every day.

6. Akshay Kumar in Robot 2.0


The look of Akshay Kumar in Robot 2.0 is indeed challenging and fascinating just like the storyline. The work on Akshay Kumar is done by Sean Foot from New Zealand. If you are unknown to the facts, Sean is also the makeup Artist of Na'vi tribes in Avatar.

5. Rishi Kapoor in Kapoor and Sons

The look of Rishi Kapoor in Kapoor and Sons was a 90-year-old, angry grandpa which is probably one of the best performances by him. However, apart from the tough role he played, half the character was won by American makeup Artist Greg Cannom. It was estimated that Greg Cannom charged Rs. 2 Crore for the makeup of Rishi Kapoor!

4. Shahrukh Khan in Fan


A lot of SRK fans do know that it was impressive for SRK to portray the double role and especially the role of Gaurav. The man behind this incredible makeup is Greg Cannom who undoubtedly changed the physical look of SRK.

3. Aamir Khan when he visited Sourav Ganguly

The face and personality of Aamir Khan are very well-known to us, but what happens when he is on makeup? As a stunt to promote the movie 3 idiots, Aamir went to his favorite cricketer Sourav Ganguly's house as his fan. He was repeatedly sent back when he tried to enter the house. Later in the evening he let go of his makeup and gave some relief to the security personnel.

2. Hrithik Roshan in Dhoom 2


The makeup of Hrithik Roshan in Dhoom is probably the one thing that everybody talked about. The makeup on Hrithik Roshan in Dhoom 2 was done by Nahush Pish who did an amazing transformation into an old janitor or an old woman.
