The former South African captain and the best batsman is retiring. AB de Villiers has now retired from all forms of international cricket with immediate effect. With a heavy heart, he informed his followers that he will be retiring from all forms of international cricket with immediate effect. From representing South Africa in 114 Tests, 228 ODIs, and 78 T20 Internationals he has been a star for every cricket lover.

He posted on twitter saying-
I Have Made a Big Decision Today

He stated after 114 tests, 228 ODI’s, 78T20’s its time for others to play and take over. I have played my turn and honestly I am tired. So its a tough decision. And after playing decent cricket and fantastic series won against India and Australia.
I feel its the right time to step aside.

De Villiers has 22 centuries and 46 half-centuries to his name in cricket’s longest format. He has taken 9577 runs at an average of 53.50 with 25 centuries and 53 half-centuries under his belt. And has scored 1672 runs in 78 T20 international matches. The greatest player aged 34-year-old and right-hander is considered popular fo his game. He is a 360-degree batsman for playing shots in all directions. Backed up with attacking batting style.

“It is not about earning more somewhere else, it is about running out of gas and feeling it is time to move on. Everything comes to an end and to cricket fans in South Africa and around the world, thank you very much for your kindness, generosity and your understanding. I have no plans to play overseas, in fact, I hope I can continue to be available for the Titans in domestic cricket. But will continue to be the biggest supporter of Faf du Plessis and the Proteas.”
