The much-awaited result of the richest Boxing match in history is over, and it has just been a few moment of time when the super light ended. It seems like all the Mayweathers fans would be dancing in joy as their idol has scored a world record.
This time, Floyd Mayweather outclassed Conor McGregor with a 10 round stoppage to win this money spinning super light. It is estimated that Mayweather would have already made USD 200 Million from the much-awaited contest.
The former welterweight boxing Champion, Mayweather had emerged out from a two-year retirement and is recorded as the richest boxing match in the history of Boxing. The competition was held in Las Vegas in Saturday evening CST.
The American Boxer almost ended up losing 3 rounds in the first sets, and then he started to dominate from the fourth round. The end came up with a tired McGregor as he doubled over the ropes and followed by two hard left hooks which made the referee Robert Byrd to intervene and declare the match as a Technical Knockout.
It was indeed an explosive finale to the much-hyped contest at the T Mobile Arena in Las Vegas as it proved to be very much competitive in the early rounds. McGregor managed to land a few hard shots to Mayweather with a string of scoring punches.
However, his run continued till the fourth round when Mayweather started to find his rhythm back. The 40-year wolf American, almost scored at will after the fourth round. He also landed many lusty blows to McGregor's head which were a series of stinging blows.
McGregor somehow did manage to survive till the seventh round initially when a right counter from Mayweather injured him severely. All hopes seemed to be over for McGregor fans as he still managed to fight his way back and stranded tall in front of Floyd.
However, it was in the 10th round when Mayweather did punch a right hook, and he was seen to be lurching across the ring. A hard left had put him on the ropes, and another hook saw him becoming completely helpless.
Though it was expected from the very beginning that McGregor would be getting defeated in his first ever boxing match, by no means has embarrassed himself! It is an all win saga for Mayweather who would now lead to a retirement with a perfect score of 50-0.
