Tesla Roadster referred to as a hardcore smackdown to gasoline car by its team, has been unveiled by Elon Musk at a recent event. According to Elon Musk, “It’s an electrified reality.”
What’s the fuss about this car? Let’s have a look at nine interesting things about it
1. It can reach to a top speed of 250 mph
If at all you can find a road that's straight and vacant enough, then this car can touch about 250 mph. Musk was really excited when he made this announcement and he said he wishes to surprise people with it too. The highest speed right now is held by Koenigsegg Agera RS, which hit the pointer on 277.87 mph in Nevada, USA.
2. A single charge will help you drive for 630 miles
Like the speed of this car isn't amazing enough, its 200kWh battery can ride up to 630 miles non-stop on a single charge.
3. It can carry four people
It has two full-size seats in the front and two similar ones at the back, that will help all of you enjoy the ride at once.
4. Mainstream electric car
Elon Musk's aim to give the Tesla some mainstream affordable electric car models may come true with this!
5. It can move from zero to 60 mph in just 1.6 seconds
And this is only the record of a prototype car. According to Elon Musk, the first production car can make it even quicker.
6. Zero to 100 mph in 4.2 seconds
For people whom 60 mph is not fast enough, it can move from standstill to 100 mph in about 4.2 seconds.
7. The car has three motors
The production car will be deployed with three motors. One in the front and two at the rear side will be providing you sufficient energy to maintain both the speed and balance.
8. It will cost around $200,000
I know that's a lot of amount but it is cheaper when compared to other cars that offer the same speed. While the basic version will range about $200,000; the price will go up as you add luxury and deluxe features to it.
9. The first car will be out in 2020
Though the car is technically available for pre-orders, the first production can only be delivered in the year 2020.
You need to wait really long for it, folks!
