While fish is considered to be a healthy diet but a farmed salmon is something you need to avoid. It includes a lot of chemicals to bring that reddish pink color to the beautiful salmon. So, it’s not a healthy diet that you thought it to be! Go for canned versions that have wild-caught sockeye salmons.
Popcorn is a tasty finger food but if we talk about microwave popcorns, they are lined with a chemical called perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA). Intake of this chemical containing popcorn can increase the risk of kidney, bladder, liver, pancreas and testicular cancers.
The food we depend so much on these days is cancer causing. Chips consist of trans fats, sodium, artificial flavors, preservatives, and colors. Most harmful are the potato wafers as these are fried at a high temperature called acrylamide. It is a popular component found in cigarettes called as a carcinogen. Instead go for baked chips, tortillas, pretzels or even banana chips.
Refined sugar is not good for health as it increases the insulin levels and cancer cells in the body. These cells feed themselves and increase in their size. Choose a different source of sugar for sweetness like- organic honey, coconut sugar, and even maple sugar.
The world is aware of how harmful an Alcohol is for health? Still, they consume it without caring about its consequences. Not just tobacco, even alcohol is a popular cancer-causing agent. While consumption of alcohol in limited quantities is not harmful. Excessive alcohol consumption can cause males- mouth, esophagus, liver, colon, rectum, and in females breast cancers. Looking at the stark statistics its time we stop giving treats to our tongues!
