Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen “A.P.J” Abdul Kalam- known as “the people’s President”, is undoubtedly the most Inspiring idol to the people of India. Born to a poor boatman:
Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam- born in poor Tamil Muslim Family on 15th of October 1931. Father Jainulabudeen was a boat man who owned only one boat and mother Ashiamma, a housewife. Kalam sir was the youngest child among all five children.
The journey from a newspaper boy to the President of India:
Kalam was hard working since his childhood. At the very young age of five, he started to sell newspapers in evening after school to help and support his father. Physics and mathematics were Kalam’s favorite subjects.
Scientific sturdiness molded by institutions:
After completing graduation from Saint Joseph’s College in 1954, he enrolled for aerospace engineering at Madras Institute of Technology in 1955.
A Dream to Fly:
Kalam dreamt of becoming a fighter pilot but unfortunately could not fulfill it since he secured a ninth position in the Indian Air Force selection list, and there were only eight slots in existence.
