Indian audience is a dream for content creators all over the world. If they like an anchor or host in one show, they can go years with the same format, with the same person at the same show. Whatever the show throws at them, they eat it up. Doesn’t even matter whether the host is brilliant or just eloquent enough to be mistaken as brilliant.
Today we take a look at some such anchors who, for all intents and purposes, retire from their longstanding shows.
Arnab Goswami (The Debate, Republic TV)
We know that Republic TV is Arnab Goswami’s child. If he is a pro-BJP and pro-Hindutva journalist, no harm. We say everyone, even Arnab Goswami, has the right to express their views. But if that expression of views is going to be that loud, they better not be expressed. We want Republic TV to replace the anchor for ‘The Debate’. Let someone else debate, someone relatively less loud.
2. Salman Khan (Bigg Boss)
If we had our way, we would cancel the show itself. But seeing that this show can also sometimes provide a rare insight into the human psyche, we are putting ‘Cancel Bigg Boss’ on hold. Instead, we want the show to replace Salman Khan as its host. As a show that tries to reveal the real characteristics of famous people (as far as our understanding goes), we feel Salman Khan is the last person who should be the one hosting this show. We all know the well-disguised reality of Salman Khan all too well.
3. Amitabh Bachchan (Kaun Banega Crorepati)
We know that people are never going to be fed up of Amitabh Bachchan. Yet still, we would like to suggest to anyone who is listening to please let go of Amitabh Bachchan from Kaun Banega Crorepati. Doesn’t matter how many changes the format of the show goes through, the show is going to be as droll as ever, as long as Sr. AB is on the hot seat.
4. Rajat Sharma (Aap Ki Adaalat)
Every time we watch Aap Ki Adaalat, we can’t help but feel annoyed out of our mind. Not because of the things uttered by the barrage of celebrities, but because of the weird ‘Ilzaamaat’ thrown by him towards them, which are nothing more than plain statements about them with some negative connotation. And at the end of the day, there is never a satisfactory verdict. Throwing those random statements at them is the only thing he does.
Tell us if we’re wrong.
